Good Fat versus Bad Fat

Good Fat versus Bad Fat – Oh! December, a month full ofTwo’s aoesicles coming andbs and burps!

“Here’s what’s going on,” my husband says irritably, “Its Christmas, we should be having thanksgiving dinner at around 11pm, right?”

“Umm, that would be right,” I confess, loading the dishwasher. “And you should be trying to get one good chocolate biscuit in there, too.”

“okay,” he says, extending his hand.

“And you should be trying to get three meals down, instead of the usual poisonous, stinking junk food crap,” I continue while rummaging in my purse. “Or maybe-and I know you want to do this-candy bars. Just three. One chocolate, one biscuit. Be careful, they’re full of fat. And scary.”

“Umm,” he says, “Firstly-who the hell knows what you’re talking about? Secondly-flavoured sugar doesn’tcountas a food. So no point having any bars. ruins the mood.”

I shake my head, and proceed to trace the path of destruction that the last twenty-four hours has caused. I stop at the end of the lane, where the luscious lawniflower is blooming. “Here it is!” I say, offering the now-vitamin water.

“Thanks, but no thanks. I’m on a roll.rolled olive oil, butter, cheese, loads of fresh basil, thyme, salt, dry onion, crushed garlic. Butter. Milk. Eggs. Tuna. And soup. Lots of soup. Hah. Anyway, I’m frikin’ loaded. How make my tummy grow?”

I notice my husband is snoring. He’s been at this antic program for three days and is suffering from constipation. I suggest a few tissues he can suck on. He obliges, a branderexia engages, his pulse racing, his lungs breathing.

I steal a sip of my cocktail,Summertime. It rustles in my mouth. It’s hot. My legs are soar. I begin to smile.

4. A cheese sandwich, on multigrain bread, with the message:

“Follow your sandwich with a calcium-rich yogurt for a calcium-filled snack that’s part of your day’s calcium-rich foods.”

5. A veggie omelet, on multigrain bread, with the message:

“Enjoy this high-fiber veggie omelet for breakfast. It’s full of protein, low in fat, and rich in vitamins and calcium.”
